Our classic enamel casseroles with a lid are characterized by their straight shape and traditional enamel handles. The lid sits firmly on the casserole and serves as an energy guardian: as soon as the lid starts to rattle, it's time to reduce the heat in order to save electricity. Depending on the stove, about 5 minutes before the end of cooking can be turned off completely, as enamel retains heat for a long time. Therefore, we urgently recommend using pot holders for lifting the pots and lids since enamel handles also retain heat. Another advantage of the enamel handles is that you can slide the pot into the oven for keeping warm. The edge of the casserole is equipped with a robust chrome edge. The casserole with lid is available in different sizes, depending on color and decor, and is an essential piece in every kitchen.
Before first use: Remove the sticker, fill with boiling water and vinegar, and let it sit for a short time.
Cleaning in the dishwasher: RIESS enamel can be washed in the dishwasher. However, we recommend hand washing to ensure long-lasting enjoyment of enamel’s brilliant shine. If you use the dishwasher, select the gentle glassware program to preserve the gloss and vibrant colors of the enamel for as long as possible. - Before cleaning off food residues or burnt-on remains, fill the still-warm cookware after cooking and emptying with warm – never cold – water and dish soap. After a short soaking period, the cookware can be cleaned effortlessly.
- For particularly stubborn or burnt-on residues, briefly boil water with dish soap.
- For cleaning, use RIESS Enamel Care or a mild scouring milk, as well as the smooth side of a sponge or a soft brush.
- Avoid using wire brushes, steel wool, abrasive powders containing sand or sponges with ceramic particles.
More helpful care tips
- Store the cookware well dried. Any lime stains can be easily removed with vinegar water.
- If flash rust appears on exposed enamel edges or the rim, it can be easily removed with dish soap.
- Exposed enamel edges can be re-oiled from time to time with cooking oil.
