The king cake form is an indispensable classic in any household where baking is enjoyed. This enamel baking dish can be used in any oven. The rim of the king cake pan is curved – a so-called beaded edge in enamel language – allowing for even heat distribution through the iron core, leading to particularly good baking results. Thanks to the pore-free smooth surface, cleaning is very simple. In the king cake form, not only cakes can be baked, but also small loaf breads. This practical loaf pan is also often used for making pastries, meatloaf, or ice parfaits, as enamel perfectly preserves aromas, and the bacteria-repellent surface provides good hygiene. To avoid sticking, the enamel baking form should always be well greased and dusted with flour or breadcrumbs before the batter is poured.
Before first use: Remove the sticker, fill with boiling water and vinegar, and let it sit for a short time.
Cleaning in the dishwasher: RIESS enamel can be washed in the dishwasher. However, we recommend hand washing to ensure long-lasting enjoyment of enamel’s brilliant shine. If you use the dishwasher, select the gentle glassware program to preserve the gloss and vibrant colors of the enamel for as long as possible. For sparkling clean pots and pans, use the gentle glassware program and the cleaning products from our partner Claro. You can find all tips on dishwasher care in this video.
- Before cleaning off food residues or burnt-on remains, fill the still-warm cookware after cooking and emptying with warm – never cold – water and dish soap. After a short soaking period, the cookware can be cleaned effortlessly.
- For particularly stubborn or burnt-on residues, briefly boil water with dish soap.
- For cleaning, use RIESS Enamel Care or a mild scouring milk, as well as the smooth side of a sponge or a soft brush.
- Avoid using wire brushes, steel wool, abrasive powders containing sand or sponges with ceramic particles.
More helpful care tips
- Store the cookware well dried. Any lime stains can be easily removed with vinegar water.
- If flash rust appears on exposed enamel edges or the rim, it can be easily removed with dish soap.
- Exposed enamel edges can be re-oiled from time to time with cooking oil.
They are all coloured in our special black with little speckles of white. They are always the right choice for baking for your loved ones.
